Butterfly Gardens Program

Keep Bloomington Beautiful Butterfly Garden Program
Creating Safe Havens for Monarchs

The KBB Conservatory cultivates starter plants with large tropical leaves specifically chosen to support butterfly gardens throughout our community. These gardens provide critical safe spaces

for monarch butterflies as they migrate through South Texas during the [spring/fall migration] each year.

Our program encourages schools, neighborhoods, nonprofits, and community members to plant and maintain butterfly gardens using our locally grown plants. By participating, you help:

  • Support declining monarch butterfly populations
  • Beautify your neighborhood with vibrant, native plants
  • Promote environmental awareness and stewardship in our region

Let’s make South Texas a welcoming rest stop for one of nature’s most extraordinary travelers.
