Creating Safe Havens for Monarchs in South Texas

The KBB Conservatory lovingly grows starter plants with large, tropical leaves—specially selected to thrive in butterfly gardens across our community. We’re proud to offer these plants free of charge to anyone who’s helping create safe, welcoming spaces for monarch butterflies as they migrate through South Texas each spring and fall.

We invite schools, neighborhoods, nonprofits, and local residents to join our effort by planting and caring for butterfly gardens using these beautiful, locally cultivated plants. It’s a simple, meaningful way to make a difference!
